Privacy Policy

MultiTuner is an offline instrument tuner and recorder for Android published by Tasos Kleisas. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Microphone access

MultiTuner requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission because listening to your instrument is the core function of the app. For the tuner, audio is processed in real time on your device to detect pitch and is not saved. When you use the cassette recorder, microphone audio is written to private app storage so that you can play it back. Recordings are never uploaded by the app, and you can delete them from the cassette library. If you choose to export a mix, the file stays in the app cache until Android hands it to the app or service you pick in the share sheet. The app has no internet permission.

Data collection and sharing

• No account or sign-in is required.
• No personal information is collected.
• Tuner audio is not stored; cassette takes are stored locally only.
• No audio or usage data is transmitted by the app.
• Exports are shared only when you explicitly choose a share target.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs are included.
• No data is sold or shared with third parties.

Permissions

The app requests only the microphone permission required for tuning and cassette recording. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings. Without it, the tuner cannot detect pitch and the cassette recorder cannot record.

Children

MultiTuner is a general-purpose music tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. The current version is always available on this page.
